Real Sociedad back on track with four-goal win (4-0)

Real Sociedad defeated Deportivo Alavés 4-0 in today’s clash at the Reale Arena. The side from San Sebastián made amends after their defeat in Turin and continue their good run of form in LaLiga. The realistas made up for it and got a good victory in a match in which they were hugely effective. Illarra was on the starting line-up again after the European display at Allianz Stadium, and played 56 minutes of the league fixture before being subbed by midfielder Ander Guevara.

Three goals by Isak and one by Portu make la Real smile again. The game started off with very few chances at either end. Just before the break, Isak opened the scoring after a good pass from Merino. The hosts were ahead at the break.

The txuri urdin managed to turn a great start to the second half into an early goal. With barely two minutes on the clock, Isak struck again to double the lead. Some excellent work by Silva led to Isak receiving the ball and beating Pacheco with a perfect touch. It got better for the txuri urdin as Isak added a third, scoring his first hat-trick for Real Sociedad thanks to an assist by Oyarzabal. Deportivo Alavés were unable to contain la Real’s attacks and Portu sentenced the game with a crossed shot after an assist by Silva.

Clear victory for the realistas on their return to the Reale Arena. Up next, the txuri urdin will be back in Europa League action against Manchester next Thursday. Aupa Real!
