Six points separate la Real and Betis. The txuri urdin drew against Betis (0-0) at the Villamarín in a match in which the realistas were the better side in the first half, whereas the hosts were a little better in the second. With no success in the penalty area, draw was a fair result and the side from San Sebastian maintained their advantage over the Andalusians. Illarra was back to Imanol's starting line-up leading the squad on midfield before being replaced on minute 62 by Mikel Merino.

La Real came out all guns blazing. With a high press, the txuri urdin did not let Betis play and remained practically all the time in the opponent's area. Imanol’s side enjoyed a couple of chances as Take and Sorloth almost broke the deadlock. For his part, Remiro did extremely well to deny a cross from Ruibal. It was a good first half for Imanol's side. However, the score remained at 0-0 as the sides went into the break.

The hosts produced a bright start to the second half, but except for a shot from Canales, which went over the bar, they didn't enjoy clear chances. The Realistas, poor in attack, were not able to trouble Rui Patricio until the last minute. Nonetheless, Merino efforts didn’t yield rewards.
