Victory in MLS final game: “Thanks for all the support”
FC Dallas ended their 2024 season path with a home win at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, after beating Sporting Kansas 2-1 on MLS Decision Day. Although out of the fight to clinch a spot into the play-offs, Asier Illarramendi's side gave their all to give their fans one last victory this season to thank the unconditional support from their faithfull throughout the campaign. Dallas (11-15-8, 41 points) ends the season spotted 11th in the Western Conference table.
"Victory in a season finale that comes sooner than we expected. Thanks for all the support!" Asier published after the match through his social networks. The Basque midfielder has completed a remarkable season, the first full one in the MLS, with a record of 25 games played, two goals and five assists. Illarra has displayed 22 games from the starting eleven and has played the full 90 minutes in a total of 15. He also performed in three matches of the US Open Cup competition.
