La Real is going through a very sweet moment. Today they beat a good opponent at Balaídos (1-2) in a muddled match. The realistas performed well and achieved their seventh consecutive victory. Goals from Illarra and Zubeldia gave the txuri urdin three valuable points to continue in the top spots of the table.

The match started with many incidents. Blows, wounds, clashes... Everything was very rowdy. Both teams had a hard time reaching their opponent’s box, until half an hour later, Asier Illarramendi unleashed a left-footed shot just inside the post to beat Marchesin and put the realistas ahead. Shortly after, in a fast counterattack, Sorloth was alone in front of goal but he sent the ball into the side netting. Shortly before the break, Aspas equalized after a txuri urdin mistake.

The second half started with a good chance for Merino, whose crossed shot was saved by Marchesin and Galán, who sent it to a corner. In that corner kick by Brais, Igor Zubeldia headed into the net to put Imanol's side ahead again. La Real kept the match under control but were unable to score the third whilst the locals pushed in search of the equalizer, something they did not achieve due to the good defensive performance of the whole txuri urdin team.

Another victory and that makes seven. Wonderful streak. Next up for the realistas is a match against Mallorca at the Reale Arena on Thursday. All out for the eighth victory! Go Real!
