From Las Gaunas through to Last 16 (0-1)

La Real has qualified for the last 16 at the Copa del Rey after beating UD Logroñés (0-1). A goal by Navarro in the first half was enough for the txuri urdin to move forward in the KO competition. Skipper Illarramendi was back to the starting line-up and played 81 minutes of the King's Cup contest away at Las Gaunas Stadium.

La Real tackled the match with seriousness and concentration. After the first few minutes of some equality in which the hosts were very motivated, la Real won possession and began to generate chances. Sorloth, with a right-footed cross, came close to putting la Real ahead. The goal came on minute 33 with a subtle touch from Navarro. The midfielder took advantage of an assist from Brais, who let the ball go through for Robert to beat Gonzalo. Imanol's team continued to dominate the match and looked to add a second, which could have come with a left-footed shot from Aihen that went narrowly wide.

After the restart, la Real tried to speed up the level of the match and Merino came close to scoring on two occasions. The side from Gipuzkoa had the match under control at all times. Despite the effort made by the realistas, the second goal did not come but it was not necessary to go ahead. La Real will be in the draw for the round of 16 on Saturday.
