La Real took a very important step forward in their fight for the fourth place. The Realistas had to work hard in a match in which they battled back from the brink of defeat to overcome Rayo Vallecano with goals by Sorloth and Carlos Fernandez. Asier Illarramendi performed in the decisive stage of the game replacing Mikel Merino (62'). Three points of great value to keep the objective within reach.

We expected an entertaining match with two brave and daring teams, but only la Real played real soccer in the first half. With solidity in defense, Remiro did virtually nothing in the first half. The chances, therefore, were created by the Txuri Urdin. Oyarzabal’s goal was disallowed by the VAR for a previous foul by Silva. Then, a crossed shot by the Magician went just wide of the post. It was a hard blow, but the realistas responded a minute later with a header by Sorloth from a perfect cross by Aihen. There were many interruptions and requests for assistance from the side of Vallecas, a circumstance that has not undermined the energy of the hosts who, thanks to another beautiful cross from Aihen, took the lead with a header by Carlos Fernandez in the 82nd minute.

La Real took a very valuable win. Deserved, although very hard-fought. A comeback victory tastes so sweet. Eight games to go! Aurrera, Reala!
